Happy Father’s Day to all dads out there!
I hope you’ll be really spoiling your dads and letting them do all the things they love doing. Surely they’re allowed to put their feet up on Sunday.
Now, I’ve been quite busy – and getting my feathers a little flustered – making a lovely gift, which I think you might really like to make for your dad.
What do you need?
An old cardboard box (I managed to find one that Dougal hadn’t ripped up!)
A favourite photo (maybe of you and your dad)
Straws (or bottle tops, buttons, anything you like really)
How do you make it?
(1) Draw and cut out two identical rectangles from an old cardboard box. Cut a smaller rectangle from the middle of one of the pieces.
(2) Place your photo on the backing board (ie the piece of card with no hole cut in it), then tape or glue the frame on top, sandwiching the photo in place.
(3) Cut short lengths of straw the same length as the front of the frame. Glue them all around the frame. Finish off with anything you like. I’ve chosen little skittles because I love bowling. I got these from craft shop.
Ta dah – doesn’t the frame look great?! Now, I’m off to tidy up, or Bryn will be after me!
