animal action cover - April/May 2014

Yes, the next magazine’s on its way!

Are you excited? Well, you’ll be even more excited when you see the adorable kitten on the cover!

So, what’s the kitten all about? Well, it’s a must-read for any new kitten owner. Read the four things you must do before your new pet goes outside.

New look!

You might notice animal action is starting to look a bit different, and we’ve got some completely new pages too. Factbook gives you, well, facts about a specific animal. This time it’s the huntsman spider. Eeek! Also there are some cool jokes dotted around the pages – can you find them all?

Like ponies?

You’ll love reading about Dazzle and Magpie – two ponies whose lives are turned around thanks to the RSPCA. Not only that but Dazzle was pregnant when we found her and she still managed to give birth to a healthy foal, named Dazzle!

Ever thought of rehoming?
These chinchillas need a home!

If you have you should really read our features about the Brooks family, who have rehomed a dog, a kitten, and a hamster from the RSPCA. There are also pictures of pets that need rehoming right now – like these chinchillas on the right!

Free gift

Don’t forget to download your free gift – two spring and summer tips posters! Go to page 30 to find the web address.

And don’t forget to take our survey to tell us how you think we can improve animal action. We can’t wait to get your ideas!

If you’re not yet a member, and you want to get animal action, join our brilliant, animal-mad club!

Hi, I'm Sarah and I look after our fantastic junior membership. I've been at the RSPCA for seven years and I've loved every minute. There are so many dogs around the office - it's great to get to know them all! I love animals and used to have five amazing pet rats. And, in case you didn't know, rats are possibly THE best pet. Well to me anyway. I don't have a favourite animal though - I think they're all amazing. I've even started to like spiders a bit more, weird I know! The thing I enjoy most is seeing animals in their natural habitat - to me there's not much more thrilling than that.
