Rub-a-dub-dub, owl gets a good scrub

This poor tawny owl was covered from head to toe in sticky, black engine oil after she toppled into an old feeding trough. Urgh, how awful – I absolutely hate getting my feathers dirty!

Sue Levings, wildlife administrator at RSPCA East Winch said: “This poor owl had really been through the wars.”

All scrubbed and clean again, this tiny tawny has now been released back into the wild.

Ahh, I do love a happy ending!

Some call me a wise old owl and I'm not one to disagree. I came to Anmal Action Park after I was hit by a car and broke my wing. I made a full recovery though and now I fly around the park quite happily, sharing my knowledge and wisdom with anyone who'll listen. Look out for me telling you lots of interesting animals facts!
