Fancy doing some fundraising? RSPCA Week is just around the corner (1 – 7 June 2015) so why not have a look at pages six and seven to find out how you can get involved? If you own a dog, you might like to take part in the RSPCA BIG Walkies – read all about it in our special feature on pages 12 and 13.

Beautiful Brooke

You can read the story of the adorable Staffy on this issue’s cover. Her name is Brooke and she was abandoned as a puppy, but luckily the RSPCA rescued her and now she has a loving home.

Memories of Mallydams

Guest writer Nick tells us about his experience as a volunteer at RSPCA Mallydams Wood in East Sussex. It sounds like he had a great time!

What else is inside?

Check out our advice on keeping your dog happy – there’s a handy list of “dos” and “don’ts” on pages 16 and 17. You can learn some interesting facts about the northern goshawk or give your brain a workout on the puzzle pages. There are some cool comps to enter too!

Hi, my name is Georgia! I organise the RSPCA Young Photographer Awards – you may have seen some of the fantastic winning photos on here. I love all animals, it's impossible to choose my favourite! I think that having pets is so rewarding; I have a very cute one-year-old tabby cat called Spike, and I’d really love to have a dog one day (when I have my own house with a garden!).
