Awesome! It’s that time of year again!

Hey guys, the RSPCA Young Photographer Awards 2015 has just opened for entries!

If you love taking photos of animals, or even if you’ve never picked up a camera before, why not give it a go?

There are some really great prizes up for grabs, such as camera vouchers from Wex Photographic and a photo shoot day at an RSPCA animal centre. The categories you can enter are:

  • Under 12 years
  • 12-15 years
  • 16-18 years
  • Portfolio
  • Pet Personalities
  • Farm Animals (new for this year!).

Personally, I think there should be an underwater category…

Amazing awards

If your photo makes it to the final shortlist, you’ll be invited to the awards ceremony at the Tower of London in December.

You should totally check out the RSPCA Young Photographer Awards website for more details and to enter the competition.

I ‘d love to enter the RSPCA young photographer awards! But I’m not sure what to photograph?

Hi Ellie, great to hear you want to get involved!
You could take a photo of your pet while they’re having fun. If you don’t have a pet of your own you could ask a family member or friend if they could let you photograph theirs.
It’s doesn’t have to be pet’s either, it could be a beautiful bird you’ve seen in your garden or a deer in the woods.
You could even enter in this years new category and take some photos of animals on a near by farm.
Hope this helps, take a look at the YPA website for more ideas http://young.rspca.org.uk/ypa/home
      🙂
