Meet Gorgeous Gizmo

Don’t miss Gizmo the foal’s story (this issue’s cover star) on page 6. He made a miraculous recovery after being found by a roadside, hungry, weak and close to death.resized

Ruffs winners

Read about the winners of the RSPCA’s alternative dog show, Ruffs. This online competition judges and celebrates dogs for their health, welfare and happiness rather than the way they look.

What else is inside?

There’s some new stuff to look forward to in this issue! Check out the new drawing page, Get art-tee (page 24) – you can even win your design printed on a t-shirt. We’ve also doubled the number of competitions you can enter, so there are now loads more prizes to be won!

Georgia

Hi, my name is Georgia! I organise the RSPCA Young Photographer Awards – you may have seen some of the fantastic winning photos on here. I love all animals, it's impossible to choose my favourite! I think that having pets is so rewarding; I have a very cute one-year-old tabby cat called Spike, and I’d really love to have a dog one day (when I have my own house with a garden!).

Hi there, My daughter loves your magazine. We live in Australia, which makes entering competitions etc difficult. She has just completed the competition entry for the Aug-Sept issue which arrived today and the closing date for the competition is 18th July. 3 days away. What are your thoughts on overseas entries? And should we bother to send in an entry?

Hi Matilda, that’s great to hear that your daughter enjoys our magazine! Our competitions are open to everybody, worldwide. So if you think that the entry shall make it to us by the 18th then definitely send it through. Also we will have lots of new competition prizes in our October/November edition which is out in September 🙂

Hi Lyndsay, I’m afraid you can only enter the competitions through the post.
