Hope you’re enjoying the summer holidays.

Are you lucky enough to be going abroad on holiday? If you are, there are just a few little things we’d like you to remember.

Circuses are no fun for animals
Overseas alert

If you are travelling to another country that has circuses, zoos, aquariums or dolphinaria, please don’t be tempted to visit! These kind of animal theme parks often keep dolphins, whales, sharks, turtles and various other types of mammals that may have been taken from the wild.

Safari trip

Maybe you and your family are off on safari! Remember to follow all the rules, never drop litter and always remember to be on your guard all the time.

Beach photographers

Please remember not to have a photograph taken with a monkey, or other wild animal, when you’re on the beach. These animals are often sedated and may have been treated cruelly by their owners!

Staying in the UK?

If you’re holidaying in the UK and taking your dog with you, please remember the golden rule  – never leave your dog in a car on a warm day (even if it’s cloudy). And cars aren’t the only danger, the same goes for caravans, conservatories and mobile homes.

And, lastly…

Have a FAB summer!

Children on beach

Hello, I'm Christine and I'm part of the team who work on the Animal Action magazine. I've been at the RSPCA for quite a while and just love being part of such a great organisation. My most favourite animals are dogs and I have a soft spot for Westies.
