Our Young Photographer Awards close on Friday, 26 August.

Entries are still open, but are closing very soon so this is your last chance to enter!

Are you wondering what to do with yourself in the last few weeks of the summer holidays? Go on, get your camera out or borrow one, head outside to see what wildlife and animals you could get some interesting photos of. If you find anything exciting, let us know in the comments below.

Last year’s winner Will Jenkins, now 13 years old, said: “I would really  recommend entering this competition. It’s fun taking photos and trying to find a new angle on an animal you might see regularly. You can try putting food out in the garden or look under rocks in parks. The school summer holidays are such a great time to go out with my camera because I can take my time planning pictures to take in daylight!”

All category winners will receive camera vouchers from Wex Photographic, and the three age category winners also get to spend a day at an RSPCA animal centre. The overall prize is a Deer and Birds of Prey UK break – how exciting!

Did you know it’s also World Photo Day on the 19 August? Celebrate a passion for photography and join in by entering the RSPCA Young Photographer Awards now!
