Meet George and Misty
A lucky cat and dog rehomed by the RSPCA, now living the happy lives they deserve.
This little black cat’s luck changed when he met Sue Oakley and her family. Here’s what happened when they met at RSPCA Stafford, Wolverhampton & District Branch.
“He put his paws through the bars of his pen and played with our shoelaces,” says Sue. “When they let him out, he jumped up on my knee and our choice was made.”
Sadly George has had a very lonely past, and never lived with a family before. But despite this George settled in really quickly and Sue says he’s the most adorable, affectionate cat they could wish for.
George loves playing, chasing butterflies, eating and giving lots of cuddles. “We’re so happy to have George in our lives and I’m sure he loves us too,” says Sue.
Misty, a Sheltie-cross, was adopted from RSPCA Bolton and went to live in the Channel Islands with her new owner and three other dogs. At first she didn’t like being off the lead but she soon discovered the pleasures of running free on the island’s beaches and headlands – lucky lady!
Amazingly, Misty has just turned 20 years old! “Misty is a happy, healthy ‘old lady’, and a great example of how rewarding it is to adopt an older dog. She’s a wonderful companion and I’m so glad she’s had such a long and happy life,” says Sue.
Ahhh, so are we Sue.
