The latest issue of 2016 is winging its way to our members.

And there’s a lovely donkey on the cover! That’s because we’re heading down to the RSPCA Lockwood Centre for Horses and Donkeys to meet some of the donkeys living there. Ooh they’re just so furry, and with names like Dolly and Tinsel we can’t resist them!

Also we meet tough cat Toby, who came to the RSPCA badly injured but has now found his forever home. Ahh, we love a happy ending.

Christmas care

We can’t have a December issue without some reference to Christmas so head on over to pages 16 and 17 where you can find out what the amazing staff at the RSPCA get up to whilst you’re playing with toys and tucking into your Christmas dinner on the big day.

And we’ve a great feature on caring for bunnies. If you have rabbits you just have to read it!

Wow, we’ve got some brilliant competitions this issue, including this gorgeous tree (see left) from The Puppet Company! And this month there’s a competition with a twist – you need to come right here to the blog to enter the colouring competition featured on page 21.

Hi, I'm Sarah and I look after our fantastic junior membership. I've been at the RSPCA for seven years and I've loved every minute. There are so many dogs around the office - it's great to get to know them all! I love animals and used to have five amazing pet rats. And, in case you didn't know, rats are possibly THE best pet. Well to me anyway. I don't have a favourite animal though - I think they're all amazing. I've even started to like spiders a bit more, weird I know! The thing I enjoy most is seeing animals in their natural habitat - to me there's not much more thrilling than that.
